No, the game is not dead!
The Verse is not dead nor postponed, simply slowed for a while. A very close family member has terminal cancer and as a result, my free time virtually became nonexistent. I haven't been able to work on it much but I slowly am starting to work on it again. I simply need to figure out how to balance my new responsibilities while giving me enough free time to do meaningful work on the game. That being said, I have been able to work on it this week and see myself working even more in the immediate future.

I really sorry to hear that about your family member. I hope you're ok. But it's good to hear that work on this is still being done. This game is awesome and I'm really looking forward to the next update.
ReplyDeleteTake all the time you need, family comes first =)
ReplyDeleteWow, sorry to hear that, it must be really tough for you...
ReplyDeleteAnd, don't worry about the game, focus on your life first :)
I wish the best to your family in this trying time, and I pray for as painless and easy a time as possible for your relative.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the game is concerned, when family interferes things such as your project can wait. Take care of what's important and know you have support from your fans on the Internet.

I'm sorry to hear about your relative getting cancer. I just wanted to drop by and let you know this is the first adult game I've gotten excited about in awhile. You're a very good writer.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't mind me asking, what's the name of the model you're using for Kaylee?
Sandy Summers is her more popular model name.
DeleteThanks!
DeleteAlso, in a previous post you said you would like help picture hunting. What kind do you need?
Send me an email and we can talk. I would appreciate the help :)
DeleteThank you for the update and I wish you the best.
ReplyDeleteAs someone who was diagnosed with cancer roughly 18 months ago and is luckily in remission, I hope both you and your family member are doing the best they can at this time. It's not a pleasurable experience to go through, and it's definitely more demanding physically and emotionally then most people know. When the game gets updated it gets updated. Take care of yourself and your family and we'll all be around to look forward to the next update when it gets here.
Any progress?
ReplyDeleteReal life has put things on simmer for a while now. Some work is still going on for this project, but It may yet be a while before the development cycle really gets moving again.
ReplyDeleteWelp, I still check in every now and then. I liked the promise of the game, and I'll stick around until the author says it's dead, or something.
ReplyDeleteWait, waiting, waiting...
ReplyDeleteSo how is development going?
Possibility of dead game ... ? (maybe/maybe not)
Well if it isn't dead it's dying. Usually when a project is going to stick around blogging is done pretty frequently, even when there's no news. Keeps the community active and depending on the subject it can keep things in perspective too. Talk about football, talk about bees, talk about something. Silence is death and this place is quiet.
ReplyDeleteSeems like anxiety kills most of these projects, but idk.
If a family member was terminally ill and I had very little time to work on a passion project, I wouldn't spend my time making sure people who feel like I owe them something got constant updates.
ReplyDeleteThe Verse is a great little game so far. It's made for free and given freely. If there's an update, there's an update, but asking every other day is not going to get one any quicker, and will only put stress on someone with an actual problem they need to deal with who shouldn't be focusing on making random Internet perverts happy. It's times like this the Internet makes me sad; instead of seeing a person as a human with greater things on their mind, you seem to see Asmina's situation as a roadblock to getting a new toy to jerk-off to.
Being someone who once accidently fell into trying to bow to fans on an adult modding website, I can tell you the creator of this game owes you nothing.
I totally agree. It makes me sad. There are a few games I'm currently following and the communities around them are the same. "When's the new update, when's the new demo, oh this games dead now!".
DeleteYou sir, deserve a hug :)
DeleteThanks :)
